Main responsibilities:

PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

• Analyze various customer specifications to adapt the design

• Design single-line diagrams, network diagrams, P&IDs

• Design complete electrical diagrams in AutoCAD Electrical

• Design layouts for control panels, junction boxes

and power panels

• Create and manage the blocks needed for diagram and panel layouts

• Determine wire gauge, number of conductors, loads, protections, HVAC requirements

• Select appropriate automation components (PLC, network, etc.), electrical components (power block, relays), and sensors

• Prepare and update technical documents used

ENSURE THE QUALITY OF EQUIPMENT DESIGN

• Apply current standards (CSA, UL, CE, etc.) as per projects

• Participate in the inspection of electrical panels or sub-assemblies

Job requirements

Position Requirements:

  • DEC in Electrical Engineering - Automation and Control OR equivalent training/professional experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position

  • Proficiency in AutoCad Electrical software an asset

  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite
