The Automation and Commissioning Manager ensures operational excellence in automation and commissioning activities to ensure the delivery of high-performing, safe, and customer-compliant projects.

Job requirements

Your daily tasks:

  • Ensure the operational leadership of the AMS sector by planning, prioritizing, and coordinating all commissioning, start-up, and technical support activities to achieve performance, quality, and profitability objectives.

  • Ultimately responsible for the customer experience during commissioning and start-ups, ensuring exemplary execution, proactive risk management, and prompt issue resolution to maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Mobilize, develop, and empower AMS team members by setting clear expectations, ensuring talent development, and fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Ensure governance and monitor the operational performance of the sector (safety, quality, costs, schedules, productivity, and customer satisfaction) and implement corrective actions required to achieve the desired results.

You have:

  • Studies in automation, electrical engineering, or relevant field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation in a heavy industrial environment, international commissioning

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a multidisciplinary technical team

  • Knowledge of heavy industrial environments

  • Very good command of French and English. (Knowledge of English is required for this position as the incumbent must regularly communicate with clients, suppliers, and partners located outside Quebec, participate in commissioning at international sites, and consult technical documentation mostly available in English.)

  • Availability for international travel
