Under the responsibility of the HR Manager, the HR Technician is mainly responsible for the complete execution of payroll and administrative support for various HR functions (Cognibox, HSE, recruitment, VISA, training, etc.). She ensures the rigorous application of HR processes and acts as an internal point of contact for administrative payroll-related questions.

Main Responsibilities

Complete payroll cycle

  • Carry out the entire payroll process for the company.

  • Verify and process expense accounts.

  • Produce legal documents (ROE, T4, RL-1, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and labor standards.

HR Systems and Platforms

  • Update data in HR systems.

  • Manage the Cognibox platform for HSE compliance.

  • Produce reports

Business Travel

  • Support the preparation of VISA requests.

Training & HSE

  • Coordinate regulatory HSE training.

  • Maintain up-to-date HSE training records.

Engagement & Internal Communication

  • Assist in organizing social and engagement activities.

  • Prepare welcome activities for new employees.

General Administrative Support

  • Provide logistical support for recruitment processes and labor relations.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of HR tools and processes.

  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

Profile

Technical Skills

  • DEC or BAC in administration, human resources, or equivalent.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing.

  • Good knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Nethris) and HR platforms.

  • Functional knowledge of Cognibox and HSE requirements (an asset).

Behavioral Skills

  • Attention to detail, discretion, and autonomy.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and internal customer service.
